The 2016 UNCITRAL South Pacific Seminar “Access to Justice for Better Trade in PSIDS” will be held on 20-21 September 2016 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Hosted jointly with the Department of Justice and Attorney General of PNG, and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, the Seminar will focus on major aspects of international commercial arbitration. In addition to arbitration law reform in the region, the Seminar will cover the conduct of arbitration proceedings, enforcement of arbitral awards and the organization of arbitration centres. The Seminar will also feature arbitration in specialist areas of construction and climate finance, which are of particular interest to Pacific Small-Island Developing States (PSIDS).
Legal professionals, businesses, government officials and judges, from PNG and around the region, are welcomed to attend.
